About Us

My name is Jade and I’ve been working in childcare since 2007. I started work as a nursery assistant at Snapdragons Nursery in Bath, Weston, where I primarily worked with babies. Whilst there, I undertook my level 3 NVQ City and Guilds qualification and qualified as a nursery nurse in 2008. I continued to work within the babies department, with occasional floating between toddlers and pre-school for another few years, I then took a break to have my own children.

Upon returning to work, I went into part-time crèche work with Percy Community Centre. This was a fulfilling role, supervising children so that parents could attend courses to gain new skills and further their knowledge. We would also run crèche’s so that parents could develop their knowledge about healthy eating and cookery classes, allowing them to give their children the very best start.

From there, I went to university and then set up my own company where I delivered training to frontline staff such as Nurses, Midwives and Doctors throughout the country and elsewhere. Alongside the training, we have raised a phenomenal amount of awareness of taboo subjects such as stillbirth, featuring in several newspapers with a national annual awards ceremony called The Butterfly Awards.

As a director of the company, I stepped down to focus on my 3rd pregnancy, from which I had a baby boy in March 2017. From there I have spent the last 12 months investing, studying and preparing to become a childminder. Alongside this, I have been working as a self-employed private nanny, where my youngest has attended with me and I have been able to offer ad hoc and flexible childcare for many families locally.

November 2017 is where the next chapter begins and goes forth. I have officially registered as a childminder with Ofsted.

My husband Joel is my registered assistant. As an Executive Chef for the Acorn Education Trust, he will be devising our weekly menus and helping me to deliver yummy, healthy food to your little ones. Joel will also support me after school and during the holidays. As my registered assistant, he is entitled to his own ratios and can solely supervise the children for up to 2 hours.
